Cathy Ang, born on January 24, 1996, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Chinese-Filipino parents who met at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. They later immigrated to the USA for medical careers. Raised in Cupertino, California, with two older sisters as role models, Ang initially didn't consider a performance career. However, she was accepted into NYU Steinhardt's Vocal Performance program, where she discovered a passion for acting in the Musical Theatre department. Graduating in 2017, she has since lived in New York, focusing on theatre and voiceover work. Notable for voicing Fei Fei in Netflix's "Over the Moon," she also played Lily Goldenblatt in the "Sex and the City" spinoff, "And Just Like That..." Beyond her acting career, Ang is an advocate against anti-Asian hate, sharing her experiences in a Harper's Bazaar opinion piece and emphasizing the importance of diverse and authentic representation for future generations.
