Justin Kan is an Asian American technology entrepreneur who gained prominence as one of the co-founders of the popular live-streaming platform, Twitch. Born in Seattle, Washington, in 1983, Kan pursued a degree in Physics and Philosophy at Yale University. In 2006, he and his partners launched Justin.tv, a live video streaming platform that eventually evolved into the video game-focused platform known as Twitch. Twitch gained immense popularity amongst the gaming community and was subsequently acquired by Amazon in 2014 for nearly $1 billion. After the acquisition, Kan continued to be involved in the company and also ventured into angel investing, supporting various startups and tech companies.
