Nancy Kwan, a prominent Asian actress, rose to fame in the 1960s with roles in films like "The World of Suzie Wong" and "Flower Drum Song." Born in China to a Chinese father and British mother, she spent the 1960s commuting between the US and Europe for film roles. In 1972, she returned to Hong Kong due to her father's illness, intending to stay for a year but ended up staying a decade. During this time, she managed her production company, directed commercials, and acted in films for Southeast Asian audiences. In 1979, she returned to the US with her third husband and son. Kwan continued her acting career in TV series and movies, such as "Noble House" and "Miracle Landing." She is politically active and serves as the spokeswoman for the Asian-American Voters Coalition.
