Román Zaragoza is a dynamic figure in the entertainment industry, excelling as an actor, director, and producer. Recognized for bringing diverse narratives to life, he produced the short film "This Is Their Land" and co-directed a music video, "Change Your Name." Identifying as mixed race with roots in Akimel O'otham, Mexican, Japanese, and Taiwanese heritage, Zaragoza's upbringing, immersed in the arts, was shaped by his father, acclaimed actor Gregory Zaragoza. Early exposure to Broadway and a pivotal role with Native Voices at the Autry ignited his passion for storytelling. A graduate in Film Production from California State University Northridge, Zaragoza's post-college journey included enriching experiences with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Notable roles followed on CBS' "Ghosts" and ABC's "Stumptown," alongside active involvement in charity work. Zaragoza's transformative moment occurred with the production of "Snow in Midsummer" at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, allowing him to embrace his Asian identity after years of feeling ashamed. He remains dedicated to authentic storytelling and supporting initiatives challenging negative narratives in the media.
