Michelle Wu ♀️

Michelle Wu is an American lawyer and politician who is a member of the Boston City Council. She is the first Asian American woman to serve on the council. First elected in 2013, Wu has served on the Boston City Council since January 2014. From January 2016 to January 2018, she served as council president—the first woman of color to hold that position. In September 2020, Wu announced her candidacy for the 2021 Boston mayoral election. In 2021, Michelle Wu was elected mayor of Boston. She is the first Asian American and woman to become Boston's mayor.
